A home, not a business
We’re Bob and Lori Miller, a retired couple in Burlington, Iowa with a lot of years of experience around dogs — and a strong belief that boarding shouldn’t mean a cage in a room full of barking strangers.
We started doing this because we love dogs, we’re home most of the time, and we wanted to offer something better for dogs who do best with quiet, individual attention.

When your dog stays with us, they’re not sharing space with a rotating group of unfamiliar dogs. It’s just your dog and ours, in our home, with access to a securely fenced yard.
Our own dogs
- A 14-pound Shih Tzu — easygoing and laid back
- A 15-pound Schnauzer-Shih Tzu-Bichon mix — more playful and active
How we care for your dog
- We feed the food you provide, on your dog’s normal schedule
- We spend real time with your dog — not just supervision, actual attention
- We’re typically home and available throughout the day
- Before any overnight stay, we set up a meet-and-greet so your dog, our dogs, and our home are a good fit for everyone
We think of it less as “boarding” and more as your dog visiting family.
